Changing The Way Leaders Think
The third and final session of the course titled, “Changing the Way the Leader Thinks” focuses on Vertical Leadership Concepts (VLC) like, Systems Thinking, Group Dynamics, Forward Thinking, and Leading in VUCA (Volatile Uncertain Complex Ambiguous) Environment.
This session focuses on expanding the perspective on the leader to think more “globally” in respect to their position, organization, community, and beyond.
One of the goals of the third session is to develop the student to start understanding a “Long Term View” in conjunction with the ability to start seeing patterns in problems and situations amongst VUCA situations.
After bringing awareness to VLC, the students will be given a final project which will challenge their leadership skills and require them to utilize all the topics and concepts taught in the entire course. Each team of students will present their project to the cadre and a panel of ranking First Responders, Business Leaders, Deputy District Attorney's, and Media Personalities.
After a debrief of the final projects, the students will go through a graduation ceremony to celebrate and acknowledge their dedication and hard work.
The world is changing at an unprecedented pace. The speed is relentless, the stakes are high, but the rewards are great for those who can lead a team to achieve extraordinary results consistently.
